I wet-block more than I do steam. Maybe because I started as a hand knitter. I like the control it gives me over the shape and the amount of blocking I want to do. It frustrates me when I machine knit a pattern that has me assembling as I go - how am I going to block this baby? But with wet blocking, laying a double layer out on the floor isn't hard to do. Thanks for reminding us of this good technique.
