"Hand knitting traditional Irish sweaters is considered to be difficult and only for experienced knitters. This is true for machine knitting also. As such, this book is for those knitters who are past the beginning stage, and are looking for new challenges in machine knitting"

The g-Carriage is a Brother accessory that creates both knit and purl stitches on a single bed machine. Here's a link to a video about the g-Carriage http://www.knititnow.com/knititnow/Content/content_details.cfm?contentid=548 You could follow the shaping instructions and the stitch patterns to hand manipulate the cables on your Passap.

I have knitted 2 hats from this pattern. They were time consuming, but ended up absolutely beautiful!
