Tip of the Week - Anatomy of Pattern Stitches

Machine knitters have a wide range of pattern stitches available to add texture, dimension and color to their knitting. The basics are stockinette, tuck, slip, lace and fairisle. Combining these techniques offers even more creativity in your knitting.

Selecting needles for stitch patterns by hand or using patterning machines (punchcard or electronic)patterning is a fun way to add interest to your knitting.
