Ruffled Cardi re-knit

There are a few knitters on Ravelry that are using the Knit it Now Dynamic pattern for the Ruffled Cardigan for a knit-along. I decided to join them and re-knit the pattern in wool. I used Jaggerspun Super Lamb 2/24 double stranded for a very lightweight winter cardi. This garment was originally knit in a linen/rayon blend, but the wool knit up soft and beautiful with wonderful drape.

I changed the ruffle tuck stitch for 2 reasons - the pattern calls for a 3 row tuck, but it was a bit much for this yarn, so I only tucked for 2 rows for a much looser fabric. I also forgot to leave the needles out of work as in the original design ... oops! I'm still happy with the ruffle, it lay's beautifully!

Instad of crocheting the ruffle to the garment, I gathered it and used a hand back-stitch to attach it, I love the extra ruffle along the edges!

2 yarns, 2 very different cardi's! One of the knitters is making it on the mid-gauge - can't wait to see how it comes out!
