New pattern - Bib and Tucker Sleeveless Tank

Bib and Tucker Sleeveless Tank

Women's and Misses Sizes Available

Inspired by a hand knitting pattern, this design is a fun change from a plain tank top.

Lace inserts for the fronts (on the Misses sizes) and both front and back panels (for the Women's sizes) are straight rectangles ... no shaping while doing lace.  All the shaping is done on the stockinette side panels.

The flattering square neckline features a narrow mitered band. Originally knit as a 2 piece "industrial" band, I found a better way to turn the corner and still keep the decorative miter on the front of the band.  The facing of the band is knit with short rows to fill in the corners and the finished band is stitched down.  A video is available with the pattern demonstrating the technique in detail.

Want a bit more coverage than the lace provides?  Substitute tuck or another texture for the inserts.  With the Knit it Now  pattern engine, you can build your pattern with each piece knitted in a different gauge.
