Man's Basic Vest

Eldest son asked for a vest!  This is news because he has never wanted anything knitted since he was 5 years old, living in Southern California and mom's sweaters were "too hot".

I choose a washable wool, Jaggerspun Super Lamb 2/24 in a beautiful, heathery grey.  Using 3 strands gave it just the right weight.

Using the Knit it Now Dynamic pattern Man's Basic Vest, it was a very quick project. A quick swatch, a quick wash and dry and I was knitting.  Since there was no guarantee that the vest would ever be worn, I knit it in plain stockinette with a crisp mitered V neck with fingers crossed that he'll like it.

Call the newspaper!  He likes it and wants a sweater!  Even picked out the color!

A tutorial for this mitered V-neck band is available in the Knit it Now Learning Library.
