Making progress on the Masters Program

All of my swatches are knitted .... (won't tell you how many times I've re-knit a technique so it's perfect)

One of the assignments is a ski hat.  Single bed, hung hem, a bit of fairisle a couple of stripes ... no problem!  Right ....

4 hats later I finally am happy with my hat.  Hmmm..

Attempt 1 - read the instructions.  OK - let's try again

Attempt 2 - Arghhhh .... hung hem?  I guess I should have done that before finishing the  knitting ....

Attempt 3 - Hem has the "flippies" - I can tell this is a disaster before going any further .... Oh - match the fairisle at the seam ... that would be nice .... back to the calculator.

Attempt 4 - match the stripes, match the stripes .... Got it!

3 more projects - such fun!

I obsessed over EVERY stitch too. They all had to be perfect. Over and over AND over I redid the swatches. Know what I screwed up? The repairs swatch – and it wasn’t even the machine knitting!!! In the end I had to repair the repairs of my repairs. There now isn’t a soul on earth that can do it better than I!!!
