World Wide Knit in Public Day

Machine knitters may not want to drag their machine to an event, but why not take a UFO and sew up the seams? Grab some swatches and share your passion for your machine with hand knitters
WWKIP Day is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter run event in the world.

Each local event is put together by a volunteer or a group of volunteers.

WWKIP Day takes now takes place from the second Saturday to the third Sunday of June each year; making it a week long celebration of knitting and other fiber arts.

I knit in public every day. If I'm not finishing projects I'm beginning new ones. I usually bring along a "show 'n' tell" in my knitting bag and over the years I've encouraged other people to bring out dusty needles and start something new.
