Lesson Learned: Not all ideas are great

The dreaded Stockinette roll....

Nancy Roberts is designing a fabulous new pattern design (stay tuned for more details).  It's a cardigan that incorporates a wide front band that has 2" of ribbing along the front edge.

We were discussing options for knitters that don't have ribbers or g-carriages.

I had a brainstorm, what about adding 2" of 1x1, single row tuck to tame the stockinete roll a bit?  Sounded good at the time ......

What do we know about tuck?  It's wider and shorter than stockinette. Duhhh... mix tuck and stockinette and you get .... (a ruffle is not what we were looking for)
