Big holes in your knitting - Openwork Slashes



Inspired by a designer hand knitting garment by Anne Thompson, this technique creates one row, open slashes in the middle of a knitted piece. They resemble large buttonholes.

Susan Guagliumi calls this type of technique 'bridging', working on sets of needles separately on the same row.
